One of the most satisfying times while in hospital was getting to have a kick about in the play area at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle. This was about 3-4 weeks post transplant. I had not played football with AJ for years because his condition made it impossible for him to play while on Oxygen or when it was too dangerous because a few steps would get him heavily out of breath.
