In December AJ’s friend from school did a sponsored Swim to raise money for Great North Childrens hospital. Ben managed to swim 225 lengths of the pool at Tynemouth Pool in 2 hours!!

Ben even got a good report from his sister who was chosen to write an article in the local newspaper about the swim.
Bens efforts raised an amazing 1531.75 for the hospital charity, below is Ben with AJ’s parents presenting the cheque to Dr Brodlie and Dr Thomas.
When AJ died a lot of people were talking about the Warrior spirit and determination to get things done despite a difficult challenge and adversity. Ben definitely displayed those characteristics and made us all very proud.
